About Tangles & Curls

Tangles & Curls is a woman-owned salon in Kirkwood, St. Louis, serving this neighborhood since 1993. We are the area's home for curly hair, color, kids' cuts, bridal styling, and special-occasion hair. Every service on this site — cuts, color, treatments, dematting, and event styling — is performed by the independent stylists who rent stations here, each with their own specialties, booking link, and personality.

This website is the salon's front door. It connects you with Tangles & Curls's services and team, lets you chat with Tabitha — our 24/7 AI receptionist who answers questions about services, stylists, and hours, and helps match you with the right stylist — and points you to each stylist's own booking page, so you can book directly with the person you want. It also hosts our shop of stylist-picked products and a gallery of real work done in the salon.

The site is for two groups: clients looking for great hair care in the St. Louis area, and licensed stylists who want a chair at an open-floor station rental — The Pink Suite — where they run their own business with weekly station rent instead of booth commission splits.

It is built and maintained by the Tangles & Curls team: our owner manages the services, team, and content you see here, and our stylists keep their own profiles, photos, and booking links current. What you read on these pages comes straight from the salon itself — nothing invented, nothing outsourced.
